The Sierra Nevada ski resort is 32 kilometers south east of Granada and approximately a 90 minute drive away from Nerja and Torrox. It is the southernmost ski resort in Europe and held the World Alpine Ski Championships in 1996. The European Alpine championships were held here in April 2004.
The resort is easily reached by newly constructed roads and has local bus and taxi services running from Granada.
There is an underground car park boasting 2644 spaces along with an additional coach park.
The resort offers a total of 19 lifts in various forms.
Ideally this resort is for beginners and intermediates in both skiing and snowboarding and also offers a selection of other snow activities.
With the Spanish being keen on skiing, you may find the resort busy at weekends and national holidays.
